Another option is where one can decide to use chlorination. This is where one opts to use chlorine products like chlorine tablets, water guard among others to purify the water. The products tend to kill all microorganisms in the water and should be allowed to act for about thirty minutes. After this then the water will be considered fit to drink for some time once stored in a safe place.

One might also consider to filter the water. Filtration comes in two different ways one is by storing dirty water then allowing all the dirt to settle. After all the dirt has settled then one should carefully pour the clean water in a safe storage place in order to be consumed for drinking. Another method of filtration is purchasing a filter and pouring the water in where the filtration will automatically happen on its own. If a filter is proved expensive one can use a piece of cloth to sieve and trap the dirt so that the water is clean.

Distillation is also a way of water purification. Though the process is slow it can still be affected especially for people with a lot of raw untreated water. This process clears all bacteria, germs, metals and salts for salty water. It involves utilizing heat to collect pure water that is in vapor form. This vapor is then cooled and thereafter reversed into liquid water for drinking. Most large industries use methods to purify their water.

Lastly even though not commonly used nowadays there is the usage of clay vessels. This method was commonly used in the rural areas and is still used in some parts of it. The clay pots purified muddy water by blocking the mud and allowing pure water to pass. This left the drinking water with a lovely earthy smell while drinking. Bottom line is our bodies can survive without food due to conversion of fats in the body but not water. Seventy five percent of the body is made of water.
