Blood sugar is the concentration level of glucose in the blood. The glucose mostly comes from what we eat and it is responsible for providing the body with the needed energy. - Increasing the intake of dietary fiber. Fiber is responsible in slowing the carbohydrates break down rate and the rate of sugars absorption by the body.
- Healthy weight maintenance. Avoiding obesity is beneficial for not just the confidence and self-esteem boost but also improve cholesterol and control of blood sugar levels.
- Regular body exercise. For people with diabetes, regular exercise helps in weight loss and the increasing of insulin sensitivity. During physical body exercising, the body muscles uses the sugar for energy therefore reducing its levels in the body.
- Drinking enough water. Keeping the body hydrated ensures the kidneys are able to do away with the excess sugar from the blood to urine.
- Engage in stress relieving activities. When stressed, the body may give off the stress hormones, which in turn might raise the levels of blood sugar.
